Greetings Angela,
Congratulations on the new release! It was a very powerful read. The Amen Sisters definitely made me examine my attitude toward people and whether I’m being judgmental of others without examining myself first.
God bless and keep you!
Veronica

The Amen Sisters is next on my reading list. I look forward to the next book and your tele-seminar.
November 17th, 2007 at 11:19 am
I LOVE the Amen Sisters and am waiting on the next book. It was great to see you in Montgomery at the Imani event. Everyone remebered ANGELA BENSON! As usual I am waiting to see my name when you announce the winners because I usually win contests. Let the cycle continue.

Congratulations on where the Lord has brought you!!! My disability income doesn’t allow for ‘luxury’s’ like buying the latest books but my sister-in-law passed her copy of ‘Amazing Grace’ on to me and I enjoyed it so much I joined your newsletter. I can’t wait to read “The Amen Sisters” and others you have written.
I want to write fiction novels and short stories too,but can’t seem to carry an idea past 5 – 6 paragraphs!?! I’m not giving up though.
November 17th, 2007 at 12:00 pm
The book my sis-in-law gave me that was authored by you was “Awakening Mercy” and I loved it. I apologize for the ’senior moment’ that made me give it the wrong title(:.
By the way, I like the new look but it would be better if there were links to your other sites also.
November 17th, 2007 at 2:53 pm
Great contest! I loved The Amen Sisters but I borrowed it from the library so this is great! I’m already looking forward to the January tele-seminar.

Hi Angela!
I am a very big fan. When I received the “Telling The Tale” writers guide in the mail from you, the Angela Benson herself, I was blown away. I can’t wait to get started, and I will as soon as I’m on maternity leave. I’ll have plenty of time to focus on the exercises. For now, I’m reading “The Amen Sisters” and I find it very hard to put down. I absolutely love your books. Hope to see my name listed as one of the winners!
Best,
Joni

Hi Angela!
I’ve been a bit of out touch, but glad to see The Amen Sisters released in paperback. I have it already but I’m thinking Christmas gift. Wait, autographed copy – I’ll keep the paperback and give away the hardcover. Of course if I win an Amazon gift certificate, I won’t be sharing!
I’ll encourage all my friends to get “my” latest book if they don’t already have it.
Blessings,
Angela

Augh! Of course I’ve been “out of touch” not “of out touch.” As soon as I hit submit, I knew I should have proofed my comment. And I couldn’t just leave it be. Me and my perfectionist tendencies…
November 17th, 2007 at 10:16 pm
Thanks, everybody, for coming out to play with me. I really appreciate each of you. I hope you’re all winners!
November 18th, 2007 at 12:55 am
Greetings sister. When something great happens for one of us, it happens for all of us. Yours has been a challenges journey, but Angela, you’re doing it! It’s happening for you!!! And I can honestly say that I am as happy for you as if it were me. I really mean that. You are an inspiration to all of us hopeful writers. I’ve already told you how The Amen Sisters personally touched my life. I’m now just waiting for your next release. I know it will be AWESOME!!! May God crown your every effort with success!! Love you sis!

I too saw your book on Authorbuzz but I’ve been wanting to read your books for a while. Please enter me!
November 18th, 2007 at 4:14 pm
Well, Dang, I believe Toni–that bishop is a dirty old man who has the whole congregation fooled! He probably has illegitimate children all over with mothers he fooled into thinking he had nothing to do with their pregnancies. What’s wrong with that Francine, anyway, turning her back on her friend?
November 18th, 2007 at 4:16 pm
I’m looking forward to reading The Amen Sisters. I’ve been a long time fan of your books.
November 18th, 2007 at 9:49 pm
I saw your book on AuthorBuzz and it looks like a great read! Please enter me in your contest!
November 19th, 2007 at 12:51 am
Though I have your book, I can’t find it because I haven’t been able to unpack it yet. I just had to move all the boxes again and will probably have to move them out in a few weeks. I’m definitely going to have to reduce the number of books I have.
That makes it doubly crazy to enter this contest, but I finally really, really want to read it.
Hope everything’s going better for you than for me.

November 20th, 2007 at 10:54 am
I am writing to comment on the book “Sisters Amen.” Francine was too harsh on Toni when she came to her looking for support about being pregnant. The Good Bishop is the one who is supposed to be the grown up and responsible person and not go chasing after every shirt in the church.
I was surprised that Toni would go and shoot herself and risk losing the baby she is carrying inside of her.
The women of today are still doing the same stupid things as the women before them. History is still repeating itself with girls getting pregnant by married men or guys that don’t care enough to marry them.
I can’t wait to read the rest of the story to find out what Francine is going to do to help her friend Toni.

Angela,
Help!!! I’m in the middle of revising my 1st novel (I already have a rough draft), and I just can’t get past the first 100 pages. Everything I’ve written and revised so far looks stupid, stupid, stupid.
Your first writing guide inspired me, but what do you do if you get to the point when your own writing literally makes you sick to your stomach?
Sorry for the depressing comments. I’d love to read “The Amen Sisters” and find out how it’s supposed to be done.
November 22nd, 2007 at 6:50 pm
