It helped me deal with a past similar (very similar) experience with a former pastor. God, please help the church and deliver the leaders who are taking advantage of their leadership positions to seduce, manipulate and con the people of God who are sincere. And God, open the eyes of the members that are still there, that they might see what is happening and once and for all free themselves from the bondage. Okay....where did that come from?
